Sunny Bain
I began working as a Certified Professional VA in October 2000. I adore what I do, and I appreciate being able to work virtually with clients who provide me with interesting work, friendship, and professional relationships that I cherish. By providing them with superior support, I am a trustworthy partner for their successes both personally and professionally.
I love and truly enjoy what I do: bringing my clients and their businesses exactly what they need and deserve; an assistant who is honest, loyal, trustworthy, and who lives their day-to-day life with integrity. I apply these qualities to help them in their businesses and with personal needs, virtually.
I was born and raised in California—yes, I'm a “Sunny” California girl! Having recently moved to Virginia, I am finding that its beauty is breathtaking, the people are kind and friendly and, I am very much enjoying living a more peaceful kind of life.
Corporate Experience
I was successful professionally in the corporate environment (Disney Studios) and had always received rave reviews for my work. I gained an immense amount of technical experience, skill, and knowledge about how businesses are successfully run.
Motherhood & Work/Life Balance
I decided to become a virtual assistant after my twins were born. It became increasingly difficult to commute to a full-time office environment and not be present for the majority of their daily life and significant moments.
Professional Training
When I chose to follow a new path, my research led me to AssistU, the world’s premier virtual university for the training of certified professional virtual assistants. Upon enrolling in their program, I found that my previously developed corporate skills translated immediately. It was a perfect fit for my ideal lifestyle, both personally and professionally. That leap of faith was one of the best decisions I've ever made!
Tribute
Bob Bain
My father, Bob Bain, a studio musician his entire working career, played in the Doc Severinsen band on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson for more than 28 years. He was and continues to be my hero. One memory as a little girl was standing behind the cameraman as Johnny did his opening monologues. While this page is not about my father, I am so amazed by him and his accomplishments. He was the most incredible dad a daughter could dream of; a loving, humble man. He accomplished so much in his lifetime; the opening guitarist in the theme songs for the hit TV shows Bonanza and M.A.S.H, and the movie The Pink Panther.
